Suns Drop 45 Points in 2nd Quarter… and Then A 17-Point Lead in 4th
Lately,
All of my Suns watching has been mired by people constantly talking about Amar’e leaving town. No doubt this is my least favorite time of year as a Suns fan. Lately, the All-Star break also means Amar’e trade talks. Last year, as you may have read, I used the trade-talks, and terrible coaching to help springboard the movement to get Terry Porter fired. I used the secret. The power of positive thinking strikes again.
This year, It’s Amar’e vs. J Rich.
Everyone is talking about how Amar’e should go, Amar’e should go, but if you saw Goran tonight drop 32 points, while taking primarily smart shots, AND was the best perimeter defender on the floor. If we get Leandro back, we DON’T NEED J Rich. We do need Amar’e.
J Rich is a black hole, it’s where offense goes to die. Granted, in the last couple of games, he has added aggressive rebounding sometimes to the black hole. No one is arguing that J Rich isn’t athletic and fun to watch, IF YOU CAN’T SCORE. But the Suns when running tonight looked great.
45 points in a quarter! I mean, the Suns were cooking. Then, down the stretch in the 4th, Big Al made a Big Mistake. He stuck with the shooter over defense. Why when you are up, do you need to keep Channing Frye (5 3′s) in the game? More over, why keep Channing in after he clanged a couple of threes and let in two EASY buckets underneath. He was absolutely no match for Carlos Boozer and Robin Lopez was doing MUCH better.
These Suns are frustrating. I don’t want to do say about them until they make a move except…
DON’T TRADE AMAR’E
TRADE J RICH for a defensive SF/SG like AK47 from the Jazz tonight and watch the Suns take a top-four seed in the West. The NBA is ripe for the pickin’ and trading our best asset with Nash having 2 years left to win a title is moronic.
We made the Nashty bed, now we have to sleep in it.
Trade talks are getting red hot with Amar’e… he thinks he is max contract material. I think he doesn’t play hard enough to demand that money… can positive thinking make Amar’e settle for less cash?
